ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Lisa and global health is a passion of mine. It really all began for me when I was serving in the Peace Corps. As a science volunteer, I had the opportunity to work with students in a remote village of Nepal where I saw firsthand many of the pressing health issues affecting them, their families, and their greater community. It became a calling, and after my service, I got a MPH in International Family and Child Health. Through my career, I've worked both within the US and abroad as a health educator, a family planning advocate, a researcher, a infectious disease epidemiologist, a hospital infection preventionist, and a food security analyst. Currently, I teach a undergraduate level global health class in Peru, but I wanted a more public space where global health ideas can be explored and shared with a community of people with the same passion as mine.
